About Yogesh

Hi! I’m Yogesh, though most of my students just call me Yogi. I’m 20 years old and currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, having achieved AAB in my Maths, Chemistry, and Biology A-levels. Beyond my studies, I’m an avid runner, footballer, cyclist, and coder, so I like to bring that same high energy, focus, and enthusiasm into every session we have together.

I want to teach because there is nothing more rewarding than seeing that lightbulb moment when a topic that once felt completely impossible finally clicks. Over the past three years of tutoring students from 11+ to GCSEs—including many with ADHD and dyslexia—I’ve learned that no two minds process information in the exact same way. My mission as your tutor isn't just to help you pass exams, but to find the exact learning style, visual analogy, or step-by-step method that works for you. I want to help you build real, lasting confidence in your abilities so that you step into every exam feeling completely prepared and proud of your progress.

With a top-tier academic background in Chemical Engineering and three years of private tutoring experience, I specialise in transforming intimidating subjects like GCSE Maths and Sciences into clear, structured, and manageable steps.

I can also appreciate that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor every lesson to fit their personal pace and style offering students a variety of learning resources from my own pre-made flashcards (that have gotten countless students A*s in their exams) to countless mock papers that are all marked by me personally so that I can ensure that tailored feedback can be given to each student to match their needs.

I also have experience teaching neurodivergent students with dyslexia and ADHD and have previously tailored teaching methods to help them understand some of the most challenging concepts just as easily as anyone else.

My goal isn’t just to help my students raise their grades for exams like the 11+ and GCSEs, but to foster genuine confidence, curiosity and independent problem-solving skills that stay with them long after the lesson ends.
