About Luqman

Hi,

My name is Luqman and I will be studying a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), with medicine being my ultimate goal. I graduated from Model Farms High School (MFHS) in 2022, obtaining an award of DUX and achieving an ATAR of 97.90 with a Band 6 in all subjects.

Why me?

I am a hardworking, dedicated student who will go far and beyond to ensure that my students are achieving at the highest possible level. Unlike other tutors, I will provide my personal contact details and will be "on call" 24/7, promptly answering any questions and concerns, as well as providing mentorship - with just one text or phone call away. In addition, my lessons will be completely tailored to your individual needs, allowing you to choose what you want to work on.

I will explain all topics with great depth, ensuring that you can comfortably respond to every and any question that is thrown at you, and will not move on until you are comfortable with the concept.

I will provide tips and tricks to ensure that you maximise your marks with each and every exam response under timed conditions, as well as the secrets behind attaining your ambitious goals.

- ATAR: 97.90

- Received a AAA scholarship at UNSW

- Band 6 in all subjects: English standard (91), Maths Standard 2 (97), Biology (90), PDHPE (95), and Software Design and Development (SDD) (94)

- MFHS DUX of 2022

- All-rounder and distinguished achiever

Subjects I offer:

- Mathematics Standard 2 (1st rank internally || 100% on 3/4 exams)

- Biology (1st rank internally)

- SDD (1st rank internally)

- PDHPE (2nd rank internally)

My teaching style:

1. Explain topics that you are struggling with in great depth, ensuring that you gain a firm grasp on the content and hence are able to comfortably respond to any question that is thrown at you.

2. I place a strong emphasis on answering past/exam style questions (including but not limited to past HSC exams, trial exams, and a variety of other sources) to practice applying your knowledge, actively marking your responses and providing constructive, detailed feedback. In addition to this, I endeavour to have each of my students be able to visualise the marking guide for questions they are presented with using clues from HSC keywords and experience with all styles of questions from past exams, ensuring that they understand exactly what is expected of them and what they need to do to receive full marks. I will also provide and refine exam techniques that will greatly improve exam performance.

3. Regularly quiz you to promote active learning, which will ultimately increase memory retention and consolidate your understanding.

4. Run intensive lessons that will get you far ahead of all your classmates, ensuring that you rank 1st

I offer tuition in an online only format and will continue to do so, as I find the online format is very well suited to the subjects offered. However, if you find that this format is not aligned with your learning style, I will provide 1-on-1 tuition to ensure the most out of our lessons.
