About Emmata
I’m a friendly, patient, and motivated tutor with a genuine passion for maths and physics, and I enjoy helping students grow in confidence as well as ability. I want to teach because I know these subjects can feel challenging or intimidating, and I find it really rewarding to help students reach that moment where things finally click. Having supported students before, I’ve seen how the right explanation and encouragement can make a huge difference. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace, while working steadily towards their academic goals.

I offer high-quality tutoring in GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths, and GCSE Physics, with previous tutoring experience supporting students of different abilities and learning styles. My lessons are tailored to each student, starting with identifying strengths, gaps, and goals, then building confidence through clear explanations, step-by-step methods, and plenty of guided practice. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into manageable parts, using exam-style questions and real examples to develop both understanding and problem-solving skills, while also teaching effective exam techniques and study strategies. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are structured to include recap, new content, practice, and review to ensure steady progress. My tutoring is suitable for secondary school students preparing for exams or looking to strengthen their understanding, and I aim to create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel confident asking questions and making consistent improvements.
