I am a student who wants to pursue a career in medicine. I have experience in mentoring students and enjoy passing on knowledge and getting to know the students on a one-to-one basis helping devise a suitable study scheme best suited for them.

First I prefer to ask questions around general areas of the students specification to see their strong and week points and usually at the beginning of a lesson I cover the content of a certain topic then towards the end I spend a suitable amount of time working with exam styled questions. This helps ensure the student has an understanding as to what the exam board is looking for. Overall, I think listening to the students opinion and hearing their methods and through processes as to how they solve a particular question helps me figure out methods of revision that they would respond the best to. However, this can vary from student to student.
