About Mathilda
Hello! I'm Mathilda, I'm 23 and I'm a recent first class graduate of Queen Mary University of London (Russel Group). I've been teaching EAL for 3 years and now, since I have my bachelors, I'd like to turn my talent for teaching over to English Literature students. My passion for my subject didn't always translate to good grades, and I had to learn to fulfil assessment objects as well as express my convictions clearly and with flair. The analysis, exploration and expansive nature of studying English is what excites me most about the subject.

I like to focus on whatever the student finds the most challenging. I find it really helpful to go through teacher's feedback to help pinpoint these areas. We go through student's essays to see what needs improving, work on essay planning, how to extract themes and ideas from texts and implement secondary resources. I adored studying my degree in English Literature but had a lot of support to help me get the grades I achieved. My passion and personal experience of working hard, fine tuning and developing my writing style over the years, translates to my students - so that they can get a result which truely reflects their capabilities.
