About Luc

My name is Luc Kelly, and I love teaching! As you can see, I have extensive experience teaching students like you. I've learnt that collaboration is key. You and I will work together to ensure you enjoy our sessions and learn at the same time! Here's a bit more about me (and why I'd be a good tutor for you!): I achieved all A and A* grades at GCSE and A level. I graduated with a first-class degree from the University of Exeter, where I studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. My professional journey has been diverse: I have worked in venture capital, investing in early-stage start-ups; I am a trained software engineer, capable of building websites and apps; and I have even started my own music events company. Through all these experiences, my passion for teaching has remained a constant. If we work together, I will be dedicated to helping you achieve your academic goals in an engaging and enjoyable way.

About the lesson

My go-to teaching techniques: 1. Gamification & Target Setting I create subject-specific games to test what you've learnt. We'll set ambitious targets, but remember, you'll only be competing against yourself. So, no pressure—just fun learning! 2. Flashcards I use AI to create flashcards, which I will share with you after the lesson. They're an easy way to practise key concepts in your own time. 3. Personalisation All our sessions will be tailored to your learning style. You might prefer discussion-based learning, or you might want more problems to solve. We will work together to make sure we get the most out of our sessions. My tutoring experience: . Live-in tutor: lived with a family for one year, tutoring their children in all subjects up to year 7 (working in French and English) . Online tutoring: I have worked for tutor2u, teaching at all levels up to GCSE . Volunteering: teaching debating skills to primary school children in West London
