About Nene

Hi, I'm Nene! I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class Honours degree in Biological Natural Sciences. Throughout my time at university, I discovered that one of the things I enjoyed most was helping other students build confidence and achieve their goals.

I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with GCSE and A Level students as well as Oxbridge applicants. Alongside tutoring through UniAdmissions, I have mentored students on programmes including STEMSMART and Rare's Target Oxbridge, supporting them academically while helping them develop the confidence to succeed.

My lessons are tailored to each student because everyone learns differently. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams or strengthen your university application, I'll work with you to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to reach your goals.

I understand how important it is to find a tutor you can trust, and I am committed to making every lesson engaging, well structured and worthwhile. My goal is for students to leave each session with a clearer understanding of the subject and the confidence to tackle the next challenge.

About the lesson

I tailor every lesson to the individual student, recognising that everyone learns differently. I begin by identifying a student's strengths, areas for improvement and learning style before creating lessons that are engaging, structured and focused on their goals. I encourage students to think critically rather than simply memorise content, using worked examples, practice questions and regular retrieval to build both understanding and confidence.

My lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I also offer 90-minute sessions for students preparing for exams or university applications.

I am a Cambridge graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Biological Natural Sciences. Alongside my studies, I have worked as a tutor supporting GCSE, A Level and Oxbridge applicants, mentored students through STEMSMART and Target Oxbridge programme, and helped students from a wide range of backgrounds achieve their academic goals.

I teach GCSE and A Level students, as well as those preparing for university admissions, including Oxbridge applications and interviews.
