About Shine

Hi! I’m Shine, a University of Toronto graduate with a background in English Literature and Health Humanities, currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence at Humber College.

I’ve always believed that education is about much more than grades. It’s about building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and helping students recognize their own potential.

Through my previous tutoring experience with TutorX, I’ve discovered how rewarding it is to help students overcome challenges and become more confident learners. I’m naturally patient, compassionate, and approachable, and I genuinely enjoy creating meaningful connections with the people I teach.

Outside of academics, I enjoy creative writing, exploring new places, and experimenting with recipes. I believe learning should be an enjoyable and encouraging experience, and I hope to inspire that same enthusiasm in every student I work with.

For me, being a tutor isn’t simply about teaching a subject. It’s about making a positive difference in someone’s educational journey.

My teaching approach is built on patience, encouragement, and personalized learning. I believe every student has the potential to succeed when given the right guidance and support.

As a University of Toronto graduate with previous tutoring experience, I understand that every student learns differently. I adapt my lessons to individual strengths, challenges, and academic goals.

I focus on breaking down difficult concepts, using practical examples, and encouraging students to ask questions without hesitation. Whether we’re working on Math, Science, or English, my goal is to make learning engaging, understandable, and rewarding.

Beyond improving grades, I want my students to develop confidence, independence, and a genuine interest in learning. I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating their progress.
