My core philosophy centers around Personalization, Practicality, and Participation.
- Personalization: I recognize that a Grade 7 student studying ICSE Biology has different needs than a Grade 10 student preparing for CBSE board exams. I conduct an initial assessment to understand the student's current knowledge level, learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), and specific academic goals.
- Practicality: Biology is best learned when connected to life. I use real-world examples, relate concepts to current events (e.g., cell biology to viral pandemics, genetics to crop science), and encourage observation.
- Participation: Passive learning is ineffective. My classes are structured to be highly interactive, moving away from lectures and toward discussion, questioning, and problem-solving.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I employ a variety of techniques to ensure concepts stick:
-Concept Mapping : Encouraging students to visually link related ideas (e.g., connecting respiration, circulation, and digestion).
