About Bronte
Being Latina, Spanish was the primary language spoken at home and through education I was able to hone my skills over the years. I have 10+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in a variety of areas. I've also lived in Spain for months at a time including time in Madrid, Granada and Valencia!
I graduated University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major, B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Biology. After graduating I moved to Spain to work in a bilingual school teaching Natural & Social Sciences to primary students in English & Spanish. I was able to improve students scores by 50%.
Apart from classroom teaching I offered private 1 on 1 tutoring for Spanish & English lessons. I also gave group lessons for 5-8 students. Students showed immense improvement noted by teachers and parents.
I personalize my teaching methods to the students needs and individualize lessons based on the end-goal to ensure success. Success is not just passing the class and getting good grades, it's demonstrating profound knowledge that goes beyond paper. My goal is to make learning fun and interactive to foster learning.

Each person is unique and has a different learning style. I tailor each approach to the student and our end-goal. I begin by accessing knowledge and develop individualized education plans aligning with students needs and interests.
Beyond worksheets, I like to practice conversational topics with the student. From my previous teaching experience I've learned it is not solely enough to just know how to read and write, excellence in language comes from being able to take those skills and learn the vocab to be able to form sentences that make sense and flow in oral conversation. I take it beyond just the textbook phrases and pride myself on having the student be able to hold a conversation in Spanish.
I like to make learning fun. Having taught elementary students I've learned the importance of making lessons enjoyable and interactive for the student. I incorporate presentations, videos and games to be able to engage the student and foster learning.
I offer lessons for students from elementary/primary level up until AP high school/secondary level.
I do offer university level services such as proofreading papers and 1 on 1 tutoring for specific course work. Please inquire for additional services.
