About Thys
My name is thys de beer and i started in the mining industry in 1972 as a learner mine official in a supervisory capacity. I did 14 years production and then decided that my true calling is in the training/teaching of the profession
I spend 25 years in the training/teaching profession and have extensive knowledge and skills in mining which is my passion, during the latter years of my career I've added safety management to my skill set to improve my knowledge
I can start assess a company , determine the scope of the baseline assessment, facilitate the baseline and conclude/ the areas and determine the baseline issues that needs attention for issue based risk assessments to be conducted

My methodology is unit standard based in all the areas of mining with ample patience for the student to gasp the knowledge and performance required to be assessed and found competent
The input language will be English and the requirement will be a good understanding of the English language
