About Niluxan

As a passionate Grade 10 student, I bring a fresh and relatable perspective to tutoring. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to adapt my teaching methods to suit individual needs. Unlike traditional tutors who may stick to one approach, I ensure that my students fully grasp concepts by exploring multiple ways of understanding them.

Beyond academics, I’m a huge soccer and basketball enthusiast. Whether I’m playing on the field or the court, teamwork and perseverance are values I carry into my teaching. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident and capable of overcoming challenges.

About the lesson

Teaching Techniques and Methodology:
I prioritize ensuring students understand concepts deeply rather than just memorizing answers. For example, while many teachers might stop at teaching that "2 + 2 = 4," I go further by preparing students to tackle more complex problems like "-2 + 1." My teaching emphasizes adaptability, helping students recognize and solve variations of problems by building a solid foundation and logical understanding.

Typical Lesson Length:
Lessons typically range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the topic's complexity. For simpler topics, such as learning basic patterns, a shorter 20-minute session may suffice. This flexibility allows lessons to remain engaging and efficient.

Qualifications and Experience:
I have two years of professional tutoring experience at Arkivakam, where I specialized in teaching Tamil. Additionally, I have three years of informal tutoring experience, assisting friends and family with their academic needs. This blend of formal and informal experience has equipped me with versatile teaching skills.

Target Audience:
I teach students from grades 1 through 9. Lessons are tailored to the age and grade level of each student, ensuring that the content and approach are age-appropriate and engaging.
