About Lara
I grew up in South America, where I attended school through high school. I recently graduated from college in the United States and am preparing to apply to grad school!
I have been tutoring English as a Foreign Language since high school, and Spanish since arriving in the US in 2016. I have helped students catch up on coursework, become better at understanding and speaking Spanish, and raise their grades!
I can also tutor students in World History! I majored in History in college and have had my undergraduate research published by Johns Hopkins University.

I am able to teach students of all ages and levels of Spanish. I can provide cultural knowledge to complement your experience and understanding of Hispanic societies.
For intermediate and advanced speakers who wish to become better in day-to-day Spanish use, I recommend booking an hour of Spanish conversation with me! You can get feedback in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar as you go :)
I love encouraging my students and making them feel comfortable enough to really use their Spanish! My classes are a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them.

For conversation hour, my rate is $20 for 1 hour. Conversation hour does not include help with any homework assignments and may include a short lecture on a cultural topic at your request!
