About Mila
I am a guitar teacher with 11 years of experience, passionate about helping students create and express their own music. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Guitar Emphasis, which has given me a strong foundation in both performance and music theory. My focus is on songwriting, composition, and artist development, guiding students to develop their unique voice. I love mentoring aspiring singer-songwriters and independent musicians, helping them turn ideas into fully realized songs. Together, we work on building a personal style, crafting melodies, harmonies, and lyrics that resonate. I also assist students in recording their own tracks, offering guidance on arrangement, production, and performance techniques. My lessons are creative, hands-on, and tailored to each student’s goals. I encourage experimentation, improvisation, and the exploration of different genres. Whether you are just starting or refining your skills, I help you gain confidence in your musical journey. Through personalized guidance and practical exercises, students learn to express themselves authentically. My teaching approach focuses on helping students of all levels enjoy and excel at guitar. I start by understanding each student’s goals and musical interests. Beginners learn the basics step by step, while advanced students explore more complex styles and techniques. I guide students through classical, jazz, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, ensuring they develop strong technical skills.
I also emphasize using music as a tool for emotional expression and stress relief. Playing guitar can boost confidence and allow creative ideas to flow freely. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal interpretation of songs. Lessons include exercises to improve rhythm, finger strength, and ear training, all while keeping learning fun and engaging.
I support students in discovering their own style and excelling in the genres they love. Through consistent practice, guidance, and encouragement, I help students achieve their musical goals. Whether performing, composing, or simply enjoying music, my students gain skills that last a lifetime.
