My Tutoring Approach: Supportive, Structured, and Student-Centered
As a tutor, I focus on building a strong foundation in reading and writing while fostering confidence and curiosity in every learner. I use a warm, encouraging teaching style that blends structure with creativity, allowing students to feel safe while stretching their skills.
️ Teaching Method & Techniques
My instruction is rooted in explicit modeling, guided practice, and gradual release (“I do, we do, you do”). I use evidence-based literacy strategies such as UFLI Phonics, guided reading with leveled texts, and writing scaffolds to support development at all levels. For writing, I emphasize planning, drafting, revising, and feedback through engaging prompts and structured routines.
I incorporate student interests, visuals, movement, and digital tools to keep lessons interactive and meaningful—especially for English Language Learners or students who need differentiated support.
