About Leoné
I am a student from South Africa, currently graduated from Stellenbosch Univeristy (2020) obtaining my Bsc degree in Human Life Sciences. Some of the subjects I covered during my degree were: 1st year; Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Science in Context, Maths Bio. 2nd year; Genetics, Biometry, Biochemistry. 2nd & 3rd year; Human Physiology and Human Clinical Anatomy. School choice subjects were: Lifesciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Accounting.
My home language is Afrikaans but I studied in English and attended a dual medium Highschool. I am comfortable teaching in both.
I haven't officially tutored before but I have helped numerous fellow learners or students study for exams or explain difficult concepts at School and University level. I am very patient and modest. If I don't know or understand a concept I will find out and I will keep on helping you untill you understand.

I don't know about other people but I tend to teach the way I understand, I like seeing the bigger picture first (why am I studying this?) and then breaking the concepts up in a systematic way and repeating concepts. That way I know what I am working towards and how the concepts intertwine with one another. Being bombared by loads of information with no clear outline can be confusing and demotivating. Mostly when I do help and teach I will revise all concepts of study but focus more time on the concepts that are difficult or that the person does not fully understand. Methods of study is subject to the individual; visual, auditive, kinetic etc. But I do try to use all senses when teaching. Furthermore the study methods also depend on what the student needs help with; explanation of a concept here or there, a whole summary of a module or subject chapter (how to study) or just practicing the work. Thus, I use a more individualised approach combined with my way of understanding.
