About Leonor

Hi! I’m a bilingual Spanish–English speaker and I really enjoy helping people feel comfortable using Spanish in real life. My focus is on beginners and travelers who want to use practical Spanish, especially for everyday situations in Latin America, including Chile.

I know learning a language can feel scary at first, so my lessons are relaxed and supportive. I adapt to your pace and try to make you feel confident speaking from day one, even if you’re not perfect.

I like to keep things simple and useful — we focus on real conversations, travel situations, and phrases you can actually use in daily life, not just textbook grammar.

My goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and natural when speaking Spanish, like you’re talking to a friend instead of sitting in a classroom.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is focused on practical, real-life Spanish rather than heavy grammar. I use a conversation-first method where students learn by speaking from the beginning, building confidence step by step. I also use roleplay techniques (like ordering food, checking into a hotel, or asking for directions) to simulate real travel situations in Latin America, especially Chile.

A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up conversation, then we focus on a specific real-life scenario or topic. I introduce useful phrases, we practice pronunciation together, and then we do guided conversation where I correct naturally during speaking instead of interrupting too much. At the end, I review key expressions and give simple feedback for improvement.

What sets me apart is that I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, so I can explain things clearly for beginners who feel stuck or nervous. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and adapted to each student’s pace. I focus more on helping students actually communicate rather than memorizing rules.
