About Tejas

I am a third year undergraduate math major student at U of T. I am extremely passionate about mathematics and love explaining new and cool math topics to my friends all the time! At U of T, I have taken up the most advanced math courses for the past 3 years and have scored exceedingly well in every single one. Furthermore, I did very well in my high school math examinations. I scored 96% in my IGCSE math examination (grade 10) and a 7/7 in my IB Math AA HL examination (grade 12). I also scored an A on my IB Math Extended Essay. I also scored a 1560 on the SAT with 790 in the math section. In addition to math, I am very passionate about teaching. In the past couple of years, I have tutored for over 100 hours at Study Mind - a UK based tutoring platform for high school students. I helped students in the A Level and IB boards greatly increase their performance on their examinations. About the lesson

I am a very patient teacher and like to ensure the student has understood a concept before moving forward. I encourage the student to ask questions and create a specialised lesson plan for every class. This includes introduction to specific topics, in-depth analysis of that topic, and practice questions for that topic ranging from easy to difficult problems. I also ensure to assign relevant homework problems for the student after every lesson and discuss the solutions at the beginning of the next lesson. Additionally, after the completion of a topic, I create tailored practice tests with solutions for the student.

I use an iPad along with Zoom for online lessons. The iPad allows me to make notes using different colours to highlight specific topics or theorems. I share my notes on Google Drive after each lesson.

I am comfortable tutoring middle school, high school, and upto second year undergraduate mathematics. I can tutor IGCSE, IB, AP, AS/A Levels for high school students.
